Problem Statement

Taken aback by chaos resulted due to the shortage of oxygen, medicines and proper treatment during the second wave of corona in India , I decided to design and rethink of a Covid-19 mobile application for Indian citizens which would directly connect patients to the required medical resources. The main challenge lies in connecting to a legitimate source whether it be for availing beds in hospitals, connecting to qualified doctors for in-home quarantine services or even tracing the level of exposure one might be come across. The designed app tries to deal with the given problem statement as comprehensively as possible.

Secondary Research - Articles & Reports

3 Main Inferences

People felt confused about the Covid-19 measures and directives imposed by local health authorities
Increase in the number of patients seeking treatment at home due to lack of medical facilities at hospitals.

The Crisp Takeaway

This particular case study was super motivating for me to work on a design problem related to the current global scenario. With a majority of cities facing a huge healthcare crises, I wanted to contribute my bit in becoming part of a solution that is guided towards helping everyone obtain a fair chance at availing medical facilities during these tough times. I believe we shouldn’t be satisfied with the existing solutions without questioning them and trying to constantly improve them even if we fail many times during this process.
